Just a quick couple of things before a well deserved nap.
As usual it was great seeing and meeting all the C3VR folks at dinner. Wish we had more time but we had to head back to our BnB.
Carlisle was wet and fun. Sara was awed by all the sights and sounds...Joe, she is still talking about you showing up the blown 502!
The replacement set of t-tops I picked up at Carlisle look good and keep out even the torrential downpours while sitting. When driving in them they don't work so well. Barb, I feel your pain. They look like a running faucet when I take a turn. Seems they hold the water someplace then dump. I'll try to take the new weatherstripping off my old tops.
The car ran great after I changed the vacuum modulator. Huge thanks to Sarge and Joel for diagnosing and confirming over the phone! Thanks Mark for the 1/2" socket. I brought about 50 7/16" and 9/16" sockets but left the 1/2 socket home(as it turned out, it must have fallen from my bag because it was sitting in the driveway waiting for me when I pulled in).
The NCM was awesome. The Caravan...uh, not so much. The stops and dinners and side events they had were great. The people we met were even better. The actual driving with more than 5 or 6 people you didn't know was very tough. Driving in a caravan of 250-450 cars downright sucked. The slinky effect was dangerous at times so I puled out and Sara took video as we passed everyone. We both said we would do the caravan weekend again but wouldn't drive with anything that large.
Apparently the NJ Caravan captain Jeff Duda did such an incredible job he has been rewarded/punished by being made the national chair...the poor bastard.
I'll put up a link with more pics after my nap.
