C4 / ZR-1 Gathering in Two Weeks
The
National Corvette Museum has partnered with the ZR-1 Net Registry and
Grand Sport Registry to host an event geared towards owners of 4th
Generation Corvettes May 15-17. Attendees can participate in seminars,
drag racing, autocross, show & shine car show, a special plant tour
and other activities tailored to this generation of Corvette.
The
highlight of this year's event includes a gathering of the people
involved with the 1983 Corvette. The group will lead a seminar to reveal
the whole story as to why there is only one left.
Pre-registration
(includes hardcard event credential, lanyard and event pin) closes next
Wednesday, May 7 and is $10 for Lifetime Members, $15 for Members and
$25 for Non-Members.
View the complete agenda and register online here.

Club Parking Lot Banners Available
Would
your Corvette Club like to have a banner hanging in the Museum parking
lot? We are now accepting reservations for the spots, first come, first
serve. Banners stay up for one year, after which time they are returned
to the Club.
Clubs
may choose to design their own banner artwork utilizing the logos,
images, text and colors of their choice; or they may choose to have the
Museum create their banner. Banners created by the Museum include one
logo and up to four lines of text on any color of background.
Banners are $500 and are a tax-deductible contribution to the Museum, counting towards your annual "Winner's Circle" level.
Please visit our website for all the details and to download a reservation form.

TN Valley Corvette Club Helps Pave the Way
The
Tennessee Valley Corvette Club stepped up and contributed $2,000 toward
the NCM Motorsports Park's "Pave the Way" campaign, raising funds to
help pay for the paving of an extra "carousel" feature on the East
Track.
Club
President Ronald Richardson made the presentation to Museum Executive
Director Wendell Strode last Friday during the annual NCM Bash event.
"Our
club wanted to do something in honor of Tom Lewis, founding member of
the Tennessee Valley Corvette Club," Ron said. "Tom was diagnosed with
pancreatic cancer and has been a die hard Corvette fan for over 30
years," he added.
Ron
was joined at the event by several others from the club, expressing
excitement for the Motorsports Park. "We were looking for a way to honor
Tom and thought the Motorsports Park would be a good way to do it."

Upcoming Events at the NCM
Not
only does the Museum host our own Corvette events, but we also serve as
a space for others to host THEIR events! We have a few events coming up
that are open to the public that we thought you might want to learn
more about:
May 3: Jr. Achievement Mini Corvette Challenge
Area businesses race their custom-tooled
and detailed Corvette go-carts to compete for bragging rights (and the
Gold Cup) in the parking lot of the Museum. The event begins at 9:30am
and proceeds benefit Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky.
May 10: Hot Rides for Heroes Car & Bike Show
Benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project,
this event is open to all years of American-made hot rods and bikes and
is a $10 entry fee for all vehicles. Activities include live music, a
military vehicle display, military-themed pinup girl show, inflatables
and games for kids, 50/50 drawing, silent auction and more. Activities
are from 9am until 5pm in the parking lot of the Museum.
May 10: Stucky Music Festival
A celebration of Southern Kentucky
musicians, this fundraising event benefits the Son Rhea Foundation, an
organization that gives children the opportunity to participate in music
and art. The outdoor concert has live music beginning at noon at the
Museum's ampitheatre, with the last group taking the stage at 11pm.
Tickets to the event are $25. Learn more and purchase tickets online here.
