When Museum Lifetime Member Jim Potts heard about the sinkhole, he knew that the Museum staff would be taking on a lot of extra work, but that their team could help carry the load. He decided to reach out and offer some help.
"I'm very proud of what you have done for our car, the Corvette, and I'm extending a helping hand," he wrote in an email to Museum Executive Director Wendell Strode. "We're ready to ship to you for the Skydome restoration two-way radios to help coordinate activities."
Jim's company, Midstate Radio of NJ, NY and PA, sent six high end radios which will not only be of use to the Museum during the sinkhole relief efforts, but also during Museum events, and at the new Motorsports Park.
"It really touches us at the Museum to have folks like Jim reach out and offer to help. Whether it is a physical donation, or just the offer to get dirty and help out - it is all very much appreciated," said Strode.
