Has anyone ever used these door panel skins instead of buying new door panels? How difficult was it? Would like to give it a shot, sure seems to be a lot cheaper than buying new panels.

Thanks

Something just seems wrong about this to me - but then again I have never seen an installed door panel "skin".  So until I em wowed by one my answer is no thanks -  Thumbs Down

The price tag is very attractive if the finished product can look as good as the factory stuff.

I put a skin on my 76 drivers door ....many 15 years ago... and it still looks good. and you can not tell any difference between my two doors.......

BUT it sure was not an easy job...do it in warm weather and use glue that sets up fairly slow as you have to "work" the skins so they lay flat with no air bumbles or wrinkles...  I got the job done BUT today I do not know if I would go that route again...I'm now retired and Today I'd be tempted to throw money at the problem and buy new complete panels...and spend 30 minutes installing them
