Volume...."stack 'em deep, sell 'em cheap"....
A vendor that buys a lot of parts from another vendor will always get a much better deal than retail. It's their call as to whether they mark the price way up from there, or just enough to make a profit. Sometimes going thru a middleman is good, other times it's a rip-off(price-wise). This is why it pays to shop around.
A hunnert years ago, I ordered a TON of stuff from a Corvette parts vendor who shall remain nameless(Penn-Ohio Corvette). The invoice was quite substantial....not just a couple of $5 parts and t-sherts....it was some serious hardware.
Took OVER 3 months to get the stuff.....

Every phone call was met with a "It's on the way", or "It's out of stock, but will be here tomorrow". Every phone # I called went to the same guy, so there was no-one I could complain to. I finally figured this was just some jackass workin out of his garage or something.....and ordering MY parts from other vendors. Instead of having the stuff drop-shipped, he was waiting until he got the stuff, and then sending it out. Problem is....he apparently had to pay for the stuff before they would ship it....and perhaps he dint have no money/credit.
Never again did I order any parts from a business I dint had info on.
