I forgot to get a picture of where the tent was this year, but on Friday, I got a picture of where it had been in past years, and that space was empty (I'll post soon).  We talked briefly to Mike and he said that on Saturday, we'd have lots more activity when club parking started to fill in.

Scott we were looking for you.  Figured since I hadn't heard anything or seen you by Friday that you weren't making it

We were on the far East end of the the grounds next to the club parking area. If you didn't park in the club parking area there was no reason to walk all the way to the East end.
Location, Location, Location.

The only thing next to us was the MID AM Silent Auction booth which drew very little traffic.
The question I fielded most often was "Where do I register?"
Location, Loication, Location.

The weather improved on Sat. and we did have more activity, as Marshall seggested, but nowhere near the traffic we have had in the past.  At least I was able to catch up on my reading of "Corvette Market."

Dick, Dan and Mike did take the C3VR info flyer into the parking areas and place on all C3s.
Did I mention Location, Locatiom, Location?

I came by for a little while Thursday afternoon, it breaks my heart to go up there anymore. It seemsthe place has gone straight to hell as far as customers are concerned. It seems that someone found a spotlight and microphone , made some really bad decisions on employees and got a littl greedy. two years ago, ask anyone and they would tell you it was one big happy family there, customer first. Now they are afraid to be seen talking to anyone over a minute or so from fear that they will be the next person fired... Lots of hush hush when someone leaves there. Just to tell you the amount of turnover, I don't know half the people there from a year ago..
They did the interior in my 85, part of the deal was to bring it to Funfest to show what they can do, long story short, they used pictured of before and after for the seminar and I never heard from anyone. All the years I worked the events,....So much for VIP, and we will get you a room and the list of promises goes on.  Mike needs to get his shit together or he will be sitting there by himself one day. There are too many other places to get Corvette parts.

I hope that those who attended had a nice time... Mrs. Tux... and I received a text on Friday night sometime from some of the old gang. That was very thoughtful and moooch appreciated!

Next year we may return to the old MAM Stomping Grounds for a day or so of fun with friends. We miss the Midwest Gang, the friendships made and the fun times we had.

Who knows.... there may be something in the works for a SPRING Get-Two-Getter.... (as Jed wud say)

I stopped by here hoping to see a few more photos of some smiling familiar faces....

Hey Tux.....Good to hear from you, and yes you were missed.  But that gave us the opportunity to talk
about you.LOL  You know that is one of the dangers of not showing up.  Had a good group there, I think about
14 for dinner Fri. nite.
Congrats to Jon for the Celebrity Choice Award on his 82 CE.  I enjoyed meeting and visiting with Jon and his
Dad Jon (or is it John)?  Now there is a guy that knows his C3s.  I'm sure you have seen the picture on FB.

Dean,

It was a real pleasure meeting you and the rest of the C3 crew last weekend.  Dad (Big Jon) and I (Little Jon) had a great time at the dinner Friday night.  It was a real surprise to have "COOL CE" get picked for a Celebrity Choice Award Saturday and I really appreciate the C3 members (Dean, Marshall, and Dick) that came by the winners corral to congratulate me. Thanks to Adam for the email too. It was a great weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone again in the future.  If any of you are ever in Bowling Green, please look me up and we'll do dinner or something.

Well, this thread was originally about FunFest last year, but since it's active, I'll stick with it.

Last year, Candi and I were only able to make it one day, and that one day was cold and overcast.

This year was back to normal.  We made it for Thur-Sat.  Weather was good - not hot, but not cold.  Attendance was good on Friday and GREAT on Saturday.  We got to spend plenty of time with C3VR friends new and old, and we missed and reminisced about those that couldn't make it.  And for my 6th straight year at FunFest (I've been attending since only 2007), I got to shake Mike's hand and thank him for having us.

Overall (minus my backache Friday and food poisoning Sunday) it was another great weekend!

How bad was it!?

I got it the last time I went to the NCM for an event. Ate off a food truck.  Won't do that again!

How do you think you got it?
