Vette(s): 1976 Silver/Firethorn. L48, 4spd. Original 2 bolt, vortec heads, 9.4:1 CR, Speed Pro Cam: 224/224@0.050, 112 LSA, Eagle Steel Crank.

My turn signal canceling is wonky.  I replaced the turn signal switch this summer and canceling works but it will cancel the right signal with just a very slight turn of the wheel (like changing lanes on the freeway) but the left signal won't cancel unless I do a very tight 90 degree turn or a turn greater than 90.  It's like something is off center, but I don't remember any adjustment on the switch and it only installs one way, correct?  Steering wheel is centered going straight.  I have a Borgeson box which does change the ratio, but canceling was consistent between left and right before I replaced the switch.  Canceling worked on the old switch, but there were other problems with it.  Everything except the canceling works well now.

I would suggest giving a call to our friends at Bair's Corvettes. They may be able to help you figure out what's up and probably have the part(s) you need to correct it.

My best guess is that you may have an assembly error with the turn sig cancel cam. I have pics somewhere I can dig up, if needed. If you have the Service Manual, it should show the proper assembly order.   Here's a pic of the whole thing, parts wise. I can look for actual pics tomorrow.

Thank you, Joel.  I suspect you're correct.  I do have a ass'y manual - I'll do some disassembly and see what's going on.  Mine is a '76 with the vega steering wheel and there are some different parts inside there (no hub, it's integral with the wheel, etc.) but should be similar.
