Hi All,
I am new to the registry. I joined, hoping to use the registry as a resource for obtaining any history on my car. How do I begin accessing a data base, etc? Any help would be most appreciated.

This is what I responded to your other post:
If you haven't already, you can add your C3 to our Registry database. (Under "Account" menu, "My C3 Registration").
You can use our Registry Database search to see if your VIN appears there. (Search by model year, then look for your VIN in the list using your browser's "find in page" feature. But it will only be in there if any previous owners were members here. Unfortunately, history of C3s is hard to come by unless owners kept track.
Just poke around the site using the menus, especially the "Research" menu to see what you find useful for you.

Good luck. We all would like to know the history of our cars but a lot of us don't even know what truly came on our cars from the factory. Only the build sheet can tell us that and many of us don't have that.
NCRS can tell you where your car was originally sold new, for a fee.
For a while GM was able to provide copies of the Shipping Invoice for certain year C3s. A few years ago I was able to obtain one for my '78. (I think it cost about 30$ and I got sent a pdf file).
It is essentially a build sheet, showing all the options etc, but also the destination dealership, prices etc. In my case the car was send to Bill Branch Chevrolet in Fort Myers FL. I had decided to contact Bill Branch to see if they might just have kept records, but about 3 months before I received my invoice Bill Branch was taken over and the old building knocked down and a new Chevy dealership popped up in its place! 🙄
I gather its hard to get any info out of official agencies now die to the paranoia about data protection😱, so I haven't been able to get an idea who the original owner was. (Apparently in Florida the tax office may hold such info, but I have yet to investigate).
Looking at some of the "modifications" that were performed on the car, I suspect the original owners name may have included "Bubba"!😄
