I am planning to switch over from a mechanical to an electric fuel pump.  Car is carbureted, not FI. I am curious about brands and attachment locations. All ideas appreciated! Thanks.

Don't know much about electric fuel pumps but I'd probably start looking at Holley.

Hello, i have a 1981 and needed to covert from manual to electric.( engine swap) A member on this forum Suggested I get a 1982 electrical fuel pump and sender and install it in the fuel tank.

i used a 6 to 9 psi pump, with a pressure regulator , Worked like a charm. Don’t know what year you have, but this has been my experience..

happy holidays!

Going that route is an excellent move, imho.  Going with an external electric pump make sure that the fuel system has a return line to the tank.  The pump needs the cooling of the fuel flow for longer life.

Absolutely in my case I used a wicks gas filter number 33040. With the return nipple on the filter. i mounted it on the passenger side wheel well near the chassis,  and the regulator ahead of it.
