suncountryI have a Ford 4x4 crew cab truck and always dread the washing and waxing task. It takes for ever. The MG and Vette take no time at all. Plus I only wash and wax them maybe twice during the summer. The rest of the time I just take my duster to them.
Barry, I have to get a ladder to wash the top of my truck too
cilrahWell I've had my Vette for almost a year now and I've never washed it. Waxed, Polished, and dusted it a bunch of times though, don't know if I'll ever really use water on it
But ya I know what you mean, its really hard to reach the top and bed cover on my truck also and its susposed to be a mid-sized truck

i have to wash my car all the time. i don't have a garage .
i have a cover and i cover it when it rains though. but after a couple days, it gets grimy. hopefully i'll get a place with a garage soon but for now i guess i just have deal with it.

I wash the C5 at least once a week, but usually twice. The Gold Thing is due for a wash, clay bar (can't wait to try it), wash & polish.

PumpsBarry, I know what you mean. We just bought a 2006 Dodge Dakota crew cab pickup, and it's a pain to wash for a mid size truck. Can't reach the middle of the windshield standing on the ground. Could be the beer belly in the way? I'm gonna get a soft brush for the thing. If any of you have never tried a waterblade, that's the way to get most of the water off. Then use the chamois. Hey Barry, I hope your Ram gets some milage. This Dakota has a 4.7L overhead cam V8 and the milage sucks.

kstyerNo paint does make it lighter, but lack of smooth paint increased wind drag.
So it's a bit better off the line, but loses a bit of top speed.
BelgiumBarryHi Dave, milage ? there's a digital display above the mirror on the ceiling, i tought it was a speedometer ..... and there's also something in mpg... it has only 1 digit !
Ken , perhaps paint the front ? increases top end and leaves downforce on the unpainted back , saving 1/2 paint weight ?

PumpsMark and Barry, I guess we can grin and take it. At least it gets a little better milage than the vette. I took it in to see if the computer could be reflashed with any updates, but it has all the current programing in it already. I'm gonna put a K& N fresh air filter system on it and a cat back system, Flomaster series 40. I may help some

Unfortuately, my garage is only big enough for one vehicle..period. Everthing else would have to go. Probably wouldn't miss most of it anyway.

MY 05, 3500 RAM WITH 35" TIRES GETS 19 MPG. 11 MPG PULLING MY BOAT. ( 11,000 LBS) sh*t CAN THE GAS AND GET A DIESEL. AS FOR WASHING MY VETT. I'VE NEVER WASHED IT. DOESN'T EVEN COME OUT UNLESS IT'S BEEN DRY FOR A WEEK AND THERE'S NO RAIN COMING FOR ANOTHER WEEK. KEEP THE SHINE ON IT REAL REGULAR THOUGH.
