When I had my car painted 10 years ago the painter recommended I replace the front bumper cover because it was slightly wavy. (Back had a huge crack in it, I had to replace that one) But money was tighter back then and I decided against it. Turns out that might have been a good decision because a few years later I asked a friend to test drive it for me and he bumped it against a wall and cracked it. So now I use the mini mask that Mid America sells (that's the only vendor I've seen that has them) - it covers up the crack AND the waves but nothing else. You can open the hood and headlights without doing a thing to the mask and it doesn't flap at high speeds. I don't know why the other vendors don't sell them - to me it's that perfect happy place between hippy chick and full underwire!
