Health issue most likely will keep me from attending. Living in San Diego however I may have a couple of more cross-country trips in me. It depends. I plan on going to Dearborn to the Ford Museums up through Texas. One area I found really interesting when in my travels and that was Graceland but not many members in that area.
Ashville NC If it were in the Spring or Fall. The Biltmore Estate, and it is well worth the stop. It is handicap assessable and the flowers are great. The Este-Winn Memorial Automobile Museum https://www.grovewood.com/antique-car-museum/ is 11 miles to the north it is free admission and is on my bucket list also.
Also New England area has lots of options also Boston, Mystic Seaport etc.
I agree with dwright. Asheville area has many attractions, restaurants, and scenery that all will enjoy along with the gathering.
Good Morning to all who check in. I.M.H.O. it seems that the East is the most coveted area to visit. In addition to the most active participants. I feel if we continue with the Gatherings and keep them close to the attending members, the success of our team will increase. Hope to see you all wave as we travel.
Anywhere that is within 100 miles of western Ma.
How about the Adirondack mountains (Lake Placid, NY) or Lake George , NY. I think there’s an event there called VetteFest. Just throwing some ideas out there! I go to Carlisle every year so not much appeal there for me and it would be hard to get accommodations for all!
Mario
I like either Cape Cod, Ma or combining it with Carisle, Pa. event.
If I am able to make that trip (depending on the time frame), I would vote for Ashville, NC.
It is about 1,750 miles one way from Rock Springs, WY.
Either July 15-16, or July 22-23, during either of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix race weekends. July 15-16 is at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex - www.pittrace.com Members could challenge each other on the Karting Track between the vintage races. July 22-23 is in Schenley Park, where over 3000 cars are in a show on the golf course, while vintage racing is held on the streets in Schenley Park. This is the 41st year of the PVGP, an all volunteer 10 day event benefiting 2 local charities. https://pvgp.org/.
Both locations has plenty of space for parking.
The PVGP has a 2023 70th Anniversary Z06 as a sweepstakes car - please visit https://pvgp.org/70th-anniversary-2023-corvette-z06-sweepstakes-to-benefit-our-charities/, and your donation could result in you driving away in a new, collectible, Corvette.
