Country Music Star Brad Paisley Visits the Museum

Country music superstar Brad Paisley experienced a dream come true on Monday when he toured the GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant, watching his very own custom-ordered ZR1 Corvette come off the assembly line. Afterwards Brad enjoyed a personal tour of the Museum lead by our very own Adam Boca. Adam had been "tweeting" with Brad for awhile about Corvetting, and on Monday after his visit Brad tweeted, "Great to meet @AdamBoca today. Go visit the corvette museum everyone. It's fantastic." He also posted this picture.

If you'd like to have a VIP experience like Brad did, we're running a special through August 26 on our VIP Plant and Museum tours... save $50! Learn more here.

Funeral Service for Corvette Family Member Scheduled

Last Friday, August 13 a member of our Corvette family experienced a tragedy. Steve and Jan Hurst were visiting the Museum as participants in our R8C/Xperience Reunion Road Tour when they crossed paths with a semi on I-65. Sadly, Steve passed away from injuries sustained in the crash at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville on Monday, August 16.

Many of you have expressed wishes to reach out to the Hurst family to show your love and support. The service for Steve is Saturday, August 21 at 2pm at the Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel in Tyler, Texas. Visitation will follow at the Chapel. Click here to view the obituary, sign the guestbook and pay tributes or for more information.

Fellow R8C Delivery Customers have started a collection for a memorial brick or bench for Steve. If you'd like to participate, please contact Megan Meredith at 270-467-8836.

Cruising to Carlisle? Come See Us!

Next week the Museum is excited to be cruising up to Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the annual 'Corvettes at Carlisle' event, August 27-29. We will not only have a booth on the Fun Field, full of great Corvette merchandise and raffle tickets, but also an Insurance booth under the grandstands where Adam will be waiting to see you, and give you a great quote!

If you are attending Carlisle and can spare two to four hours of your time, we can always use volunteers! If you are interested, please contact Marla at 270-467-8803! We hope to see you there!

This week's question was: We have a new board member, Richard Anderson, who's son plays for the NHL. Name the team he plays for and his position.

Congratulations to Bill Perry of Georgetown, IN. Bill correctly identified Craig Anderson as playing goalie for the Colorado Avalanche! Bill scored a Corvette t-shirt and passes to the museum!
